THE BEATLES - 'HELP!'
This UK 1st MONO pressing dates from August 1965 release on the yellow & black Parlophone label: PMC 1255
Both labels bear the 'Sold in UK...' text with 'The Gramophone Co...' rims & a 'KT' purchase tax code in the centre of the side 1 label.
Matrix numbers: XEX 549-2 & XEX 550-2
Stamper codes: 4/GHT & 1,8/RGO
Vinyl weight: 154g
Housed in a front laminated, tri-flipback 'Garrod & Lofthouse' cover, misprinted with TWO 'mono' indicators on the front panel.
Complete with its original rice-paper lined, 'Use Emitex...' inner-sleeve.

Labels: VERY GOOD +
Both are clean & bright with a moderate collection of spindle trails around each centre hole.
Visual: VERY GOOD
Both playing surfaces are clean but bear several light surface marks and hairlines consistent with regular handling and play.
Sound Quality: VERY GOOD +
Despite having been played many times, all tracks sound clean & clear and free from any groove/playwear distortion or crackle. My playcheck detected a touch of low-level vinyl background between tracks but no clicks, pops any other major faults.
Cover: GOOD
Due to the high standard of quality control at EMI in the 1960's, genuine printing errors are rare.
This example is fairly tired, and shows all of its 49 years.There is discolouration throughout and two names and an address on the rear panel as well as some obvious staining. Both seams and the spine are intact and free from any stresses or splits.
Inner-sleeve: VERY GOOD
Fully intact with some age-toning but no writing, tears or seam splits.
