Description
The Beatles Help! UK 1965 1st VINYL Stereo PCS 3071 -1/-1 great copy
Black label with yellow logo and silver print. Second label with Sans Serif typeface (first was Times New Roman with bold STEREO by Parlophone logo). “Sold in U.K. ..." printed on label.
Side A label has an asterisk (credit indicator) printed to the right of “I Need You”. The very first pressings had this printed on the left.
“The Gramophone Co. Ltd.” printed in label rim text.
“Use Emitex” die-cut inner sleeve. KT tax code embossed on Side A or Side B.
Front laminated flipback cover, with outline “stereo” on front cover.

Very rarely see these for sale - according to the above reference 'last sold' on discogs at a VG+/VG+ in Nov '24 graded for £210.94! - - This copy is similarly described as that:
GARROD & LOFTHOUSE, with KT code on B Side, - Side 1: YEX 168-1 GL 2; Side 2: YEX 169-1 AD 1 (LOW MOTHERS)
The outer sleeve is clean, a few light creases around the edge, a light stain in the right hand corner; on the rear, the flipbacks look amazing (often grubby) and there are a couple of light stains. The spine has a nice pinch and fully readable, very little wear. Really nice! - please view all photos
The original inner has a a couple of stains, not heavy, no rips and very little creasing - belies its age - again, very, very nice - view all the photos
The labels how signs of past play with light scratches around the centre hole, more obvious on side 2 - no writing/ink marks/ sticky marks so very nice again
The vinyl is clean and scratch free in the main. I spotted a small mark and a hairline on each side but had to look really hard for them. Neither seem to have any impact when played. I played over a couple of the spots and recorded it - see the attached clip
Playback was thoroughly enjoyable! Even in between tracks only picks up a minimum amount of light noise occasionally, really crisp, clear and a great listen!
