Description

A 1st pressing of Help! on the UK Parlophone label. Matrix 2/2. Stampers 3-RAG/5-RAL. Please note the label holds the abbreviated publishing credit 'Lark Mus' - not 'Lark Music' and there's a space before the asterix on the track 'I Need You' - this is indicative of the very 1st pressing. The heavy set vinyl comes housed in an original cover printed by Garrod & Lofthouse. Also included is the original Emitex inner sleeve.
Vinyl (Ex) In great shape despite having seen light to moderate use. Under close inspection there are several light marks - nothing troublesome though. A thorough testing from beginning to end reveals an EXCELLENT level of playback. Intros and inbetweens are nice and quiet and the audio comes across with excellent clarity. Interference is minimal - just a touch of light static in a couple of places... and most certainly nothing remotely invasive. A very fine example of what is the true 1st pressing of this record.
Cover (Ex) In excellent condition and has clearly been looked after down the years. That iconic white cover is just that - WHITE. So many fade, but not here this one is still perfectly white and the rear has escaped the usual fading too. There's a touch wear at the centre of the opening edge - but nothing obtrusive. Edge wear is light and text on the spine is all intact. Overall the cover retains excellent rigidity. A very fine example.
Inner (Ex-) A bit creased, but i otherwise excellent condition. No splits.
