Vinyl Audio Grade & Date of Playtest: Play Grade Near Mint (Supremely sharp and clear sound, no noticeable audible crackle at all throughout the tracks, ultra quiet and no noticeable background noise in between tracks, very quiet on the run ins and run offs, no skips, no jumps, no sticking, no loud pops or clicks. Near Mint sound quality (Playtested 8th November 2007)

Vinyl Visual Grade: Excellent + to Near Mint Minus (less than two or three very light superficial hairline marks over both sides of the record, both sides of the record are unmarked, a beautifully clean surface, there is not a deep raised scratch in sight of any significance, the record is exceptionally clean and as said before the surface unmarked, there may be a few tiny hairlines and a few paper scuffs/traces from the inner sleeve under extreme bright light but make no mistake this record is exceptionally clean, looks to have been played only once by looking at spindle marks and it has been looked after and cared for extremely well, a supremely clean record, labels are very clean with no rips/tears to the label, there is no wear around the spindle holes, no pen marks or writing on the label, nice sheen to the record, overall a superb copy visually) I have seen so many copies of this LP turn up rough and played to death but this one looks immaculate. If you currently have a VG copy and are looking to upgrade then this is probably worth bidding on as it is one of the best discs for this LP I have ever seen (and I have seen a lot).

Album Cover Grade: Excellent (no major creasing to the front corners apart from a slight crease to the top right corner (you can barely see it though), no major creasing to the rear corners apart from a slight crease to the top left rear corner, there is no spine splitting and the spine is clearly legible and there is no spine wear/rubbing at all, there is a no top edge splits but there is a slight bit of wear/rubbing to the top edge near the sleeve opening, no bottom edge splits and there is no wear/rubbing to the bottom edge, only very minimal corner rubbing,  there are a couple of minute tears in the sleeve on the front cover where the sleeve opening is but these are barely noticeable and are only 0.5cm or so in length , hardly any ringwear on the front and back that is noticeable, there is no pen marks/writing on the sleeve, the sleeve does not suffer from any major laminate lifting or peeling, the sleeve is very clean and suffers from no serious discolouration on the unlamininated rear and it is reasonably white and clean and does not have any serious staining etc, very sturdy sleeve, overall a very nice sleeve)

MINT

The record itself is in brand new condition with no surface marks or deterioration in sound quality. The cover and any extra items such as the lyric sheet, booklet or poster are in perfect condition. Records advertised as Sealed or Unplayed should be Mint.

EXCELLENT

The record shows some signs of having been played, but there is very little lessening in sound quality. The cover and packaging might have slight wear and/or creasing.

VERY GOOD

The record has obviously been played many times, but displays no major deterioration in sound quality, despite noticeable surface marks and the occasional light scratch. Normal wear and tear on the cover or extra items, without any major defects, is acceptable.

GOOD

The record has been played so much that the sound quality has noticeably deteriorated, perhaps with some distortion and mild scratches. The cover and contents suffer from folding, scuffing of edges, spine splits, discoloration, etc.

FAIR

The record is still just playable but has not been cared for properly and displays considerable surface noise; it may even jump. The cover and contents will be torn, stained and/or defaced.

POOR

The record will not play properly due to scratches, bad surface noise, etc. The cover and contents will be badly damaged or partly missing.

BAD

The record is unplayable or might even be broken, and is only of use as a collection-filler.
