The Beatles: Help. Vinyl & Sleeve Superb. 549-2 & 550-2. Mono PMC 1255..
PLAY TESTED ON MONDAY FEBRUARY 28TH
The audio is excellent on this play tested disc, with just minor clicks, pops and surface noise. Absolutely no skips, jumps, sticks or hops.
Side 1.
Tiny amount of static/crackle on intro/run in to opening track.
Minor surface noise on track 2 intro.
A ‘pop’ on track 3 intro.
Light surface noise on track 4 and 5 intro.
Light surface noise on track 6 intro, and very light ‘crackling’ about 1 minute in.
Some surface noise as it runs out following Ticket To Ride.
Side 2.
Some surface noise/static on intro.
Light surface noise and a couple of clicks in to track 5.
On ‘Yesterday’, notorious for audible pops/crackles etc, there is barely a sound other than the track.
Some light surface noise on intro to Dizzy.
Surface noise on run out.
Vinyl and sleeve appearance are absolutely minimum excellent.
Vinyl has very few/barely visible marks/hairlines, with most only visible under strong light. Superb.
Labels are clean and bright, but for very faint/barely visible name ‘Bernie’ penned to left of £ on side 1. It’s so faint, I only saw it on close inspection.
Very faint spindle ware, with very little, if any ware to centre hole.
Laminated G&L sleeve is also superb. Very light crease running through Ringo’s left arm.
Rear is beautifully clean and strong. No graffiti, barely any creasing, no lifting of flip-back, just some tiny feathering to opening to left of £ sign.
Tiny scuff mark to top right corner.
Small scuff/sign of shelf ware to bottom.
Spine is also excellent. Again, very little ware, and wonderfully clean and easily legible.
