Description

An original 2nd issue of Hey Jude on the UK Apple label from 1971. Matrix 1/1 - as per 1st cut. Stampers 1RM/2GT - which suggests pressing occurred toward the front-end of the 2nd issue period. The heavy-set [pre-oil crisis] vinyl comes housed in an original thin spine cover printed by Garrod & Lofthouse. Also included is the plastic bag warning inner sleeve from the time. So, 100% complete and 100% genuine.
Vinyl (Ex+) In superb condition and has only seen light use. Under close inspection there are a couple of light marks per side - nothing remotely troublesome.  A thorough testing from beginning to end reveals an EXCELLENT+ level of playback. Intros and inbetweens are pretty much silent and the audio comes across with perfect clarity. A beautifully clean rendition all the way through..even through tracks like 'Hey Jude'. Interference is pretty much non-existent. All I could detect were a couple of crackles in a couple of isolated moments. It's a sweet player that's for sure...A definite keeper..
Cover (Ex/Ex+) In great shape and has clearly been looked after own the years. A lovely clean and shiny front with barely a crease. The rear looks great too with just a few tiny stress creases at the edge. Edge wear is very slight and the openings are still sharp. The spine is 100% intact and overall the cover retains excellent rigidity. A real beaut that's for sure...
Inner (Ex) No splits or markings. Slightest ageing.
