Up for sale is an authentic, mega-rare piece of global vinyl history: The Beatles' "Hottest Hits" original 1965 Danish-only compilation Mono LP. Released by Parlophone (Cat: PMCS 306) and manufactured by Skandinavisk Grammophon Aktieselskab, this album was deleted almost immediately after production, with a highly limited run of roughly 3,028 copies pressed. This features the iconic, highly coveted "Eskimo/Parka" front laminated flipback sleeve printed by Rotex Offset, which was never issued in the UK or USA. Label Variation Note:
This disc features the highly desirable, earliest initial label state with the "NCB" rights society logo printed openly without a box on the black and silver labels. Condition Grading (Goldmine / Record Collector Standards):
- Vinyl Condition: Very Good Plus (VG+) to Excellent (EX). The disc has been lightly played and carefully handled. Under strong lighting, it retains a lovely deep gloss and sheen with only minor cosmetic hairline sleeve wisps. The black/silver Parlophone center labels are exceptionally clean with minimal spindle wear around the center hole. A highly printable, beautiful play-grade copy.
- Sleeve Condition: Good Plus (G+) to Very Good (VG). The original delicate flipback sleeve shows clear signs of its 60+ year age. The front laminated cover has expected vintage creasing, edge softening, and wear to the corners. The unlaminated white reverse jacket shows expected age-toning/browning marks. The spine text remains completely intact, and there are no large modern marker writing marks or heavy tape repairs. Please review the high-resolution photos carefully to see the exact edge presentation.
