RARELY SEEN, BEATLES PARLOPHONE DEMONSTRATION VINYL 45 IN ORIGINAL **TOP POP SPECIAL RUSH COPY SLEEVE**
This is the RARE 1963 UK PARLOPHONE DEMONSTRATION Vinyl 45 for The Beatles fifth UK single release, I Want To Hold Your Hand/This Boy, very few copies of this Beatles Demo were sent out to DJs prior to the general release, which was on the 29th November 1963.
**This is a 100% genuine Demonstration vinyl disc, and shows the correct 'oversized' labels which go over the serrated rim of the disc, and also bears a large red 'A' on the 'I Want To Hold Your Hand' Side one label**
The Vinyl 45 is on the Parlophone Record Labels with the Traditional White with Bold Red ‘A’ label on side 1, and white label with Black print on side 2, with ‘The Parlophone Co Ltd’ label rim and the wording ‘DEMONSTRATION RECORD NOT FOR SALE’ printed to both sides of the record labels, together with the catalogue number of R 5084.
As you can see from the scans, the centre of this Demonstration Vinyl 45 is missing (see scans).
Side 1 record label is in Very Good Plus condition, a clean record label, all of the printed text is unfaded and clearly legible, all that is visible are signs of age discolouration, and a faint pen mark just above the catalogue number.
Side 2 record label is in Very Good Minus condition, there is small damage to the label, which looks like a sticker has been removed, also an erased pen mark to the bottom right.
The machine stamped matrixes are: Side 1: 7XCE 17559-1N, and side 2: 7XCE 17560-1N.
The machine stamper lettering and numbers on Side1: KT 3 H, and side 2: KT 1 TL.
Both sides of the vinyl disc are in Very Good Plus condition, clean vinyl surfaces with NO deep scratches or scuffs, all that is visible are some light surface hairline scratches.
The Demonstration Record comes in an EMI Top Pop Special Rush Release Company Bag, these bags were exclusive to Demonstration Records at the time, and is in Very Good Plus condition, the bag shows light wear and age toning to the white areas, and hand writing in ink just above the word pop.
Both sides of the disc play well without major faults a clear powerful sound, there are no skips, and only very light background crackle. The disc sits 100% flat on turntable, with NO dishing or warping.
Beatles Demo’s are becoming impossible to find In terms of collecting, Beatles Demos are considered to be at the TOP of any Serious Beatles collection, – although not in the pristine condition that we all like, it is nevertheless an original and playable rare Beatles Demonstration Disc.
