In this auction:
-
“INTRODUCING THE BEATLES” LP by The Beatles
-
This is Vee Jay Records VJLP 1062.
-
This is a MONO (monaural) PRESSING.
-
It was issued January 10, 1964.
-
This is VERSION 1 of this LP with column back cover and INCLUDES the cuts “Love Me Do” and “P.S. I Love You”. As you probably know, legal action against Vee Jay Records required the removal of these 2 songs from future issues of this LP. Vee Jay replaced them with “Ask Me Why” and “Please Please Me” which has come to be called Version 2.
-
This label variation is VJ 1062(1).MR1A, because “Long Playing” and “Microgroove” are printed in uppercase and lowercase letters.
-
BOTH COVER and VINYL ARE ABSOLUTELY AUTHENTIC! We know this because:
1) The cover has George’s shadow and spine printing.
2) The labels have “THE BEATLES” printed above the spindle hole.
3) The vinyl has “AudioMatrix” stamped in the trail-off on both sides.
-
So you can bid with confidence that you are receiving the real deal and NOT a counterfeit.
-
The COVER is in Worn CONDITION. The front cover image has moderate wear that can be seen in the images, along with old tape residue that held the edges together..
-
The VINYL is in VG- CONDITION. There are a number of hairlines/scuffs and a couple “feelies” on side 1 & side 2. The vinyl still has NICE GLOSS. The “45” size labels look decent actually with some wear around the spindles…
As you probably know legitimate VERSION 1 ISSUES of this LP are MUCH TOUGHER TO FIND than the most of the “Stereo” Counterfeit Version 1 issues out there, and also much less common than the later version 2 records..
*This example should be regarded as a “place keeper” or “reference copy” until that minty one comes along…
USPS Media Mail $3.85 Ask me for combined shipping deals on multiple albums.Vinyl will be placed in it’s own anti-static sheath, separate from its cover, with the cover in its own clear sheath, sandwiched between two cardboard spacers & well packed in a standard record mailer, USPS Media Mail
*Check my other auctions for more great vintage records....
Records have been given a basic cleaning, but I would recommend a proper cleaning to get even better sound and performance!
Thank you
Leoslespaul
Note: an “astute” Ebayer related to me that the labels listed here are not the “45” size labels, but the “normal” sized ones..thx for looking!
