“INTRODUCING THE BEATLES” VEE JAY LP-1062 MONO – You’re looking at a very nice copy of this historic 61 YEAR OLD ALBUM on the VEE JAY LABEL.  This is an AUTHENTIC COPY, and NOT one of the many counterfeits that are out there. According to Stanley Panenka’s great book “INTRODUCING THE BEATLES RECORD PRICE GUIDE,” this  RARE pressing in NEAR MINT condition is valued at $700.00!…

COVER: This is an AUTHENTIC cover with George’s shadow in the right place and 1/4 inch flaps at the top and the bottom on the inside. Has PLEASE, PLEASE ME with COMMA on the back.

RECORD TITLE: “Introducing the Beatles” (VJLP-1062)

PRESSING PLANT: Allentown Record Co. (“ARC”)

RUN-OUT STAMPS: ARC ––  URJ –– 2-6-64 –– “Audio Matrix” Logo

RECORD LABELS: Black Colorband w/Large “VJ” Bracketts & LONGPLAYING 1 word & Song Titles Left Justified.  

ALBUM CONDITIONS

ALBUM COVER:  (VG) I really thought about giving this cover a VG+ because it’s real solid with no splits and a nice spine. There’s hardly even a hint of ring wear except at the very bottom of the front. But there is a small amount of fraying along the top seam and the initials “M. A.” on the back. The back is still a nice bright white. The corners have been dinged. The bottom left corner has a crease.  (SEE IMAGES.)  

VINYL:  (VG+)   I came so close to giving this vinyl a NM rating. The rubs and the initials kept me from doing so.

Record: Play tested.  No skips. This is about the nicest copy of this record that I’ve ever had. And I’ve had many over the years. The vinyl looks great and sounds even better.  Has some minor scuffs and jacket rubs that may produce only the occasional light pop. (I say “may produce” because I really didn’t hear any during the complete play testing. Not during the songs or even in between. I just wanted to err on the safe side, just in case I missed a light pop or two.) Both sides still retain most of their original luster.  (SEE IMAGES.)

Labels: Both labels look great with only light spindle marks and those initials on Side 2.   (SEE IMAGES.) 

Sleeve: Comes in a new generic sleeve.  

NOTE: Record grading is very subjective, so be sure to inspect all the images carefully and decide for yourself.  Also be aware that some imperfections that are visible in the images may not be listed in the descriptions. If you have any questions, please contact me before you bid.

The records will be removed from their covers and original inner sleeves and placed in acid-free paper or poly sleeves. The cover will be put in a loose-fitting polyethylene sleeve.
