History of the Release
Introducing… The Beatles is the first Beatles LP released in the United States, issued by Vee Jay Records in January 1964. Legal issues forced the label to replace Love Me Do and P.S. I Love You with Ask Me Why and Please Please Me, creating what collectors now call Version 2. This album became one of the most counterfeited and collected Beatles records due to the large number of variations and its complex release history.
