This Jackie Lomax Factory Sample album is from the collection of Norman 'Hurricane' Smith. Norman Smith began working at Abbey Road Studio’s in 1959 as an apprentice for EMI. George Martin used him for The Beatles Recording Sessions, including their very first ever EMI Recording stint, and he continued as their Recording Engineer right through to the Rubber Soul sessions in December 1965. A letter confirming this will Accompany this album.
This First Issue Jackie Lomax LP was released by Apple Records in the UK in 1969.
The album features many Musicians including, George Harrison, Paul McCartney, Richard Starkey, Eric Clapton, Klaus Voormann, and many more. Additionally the album was arranged and produced by George Harrison, who also composed the song Sour Milk Sea.
The Vinyl LP is on the traditional Green and White half Apple Record labels, with Manufactured in the UK label text, and the Sold in UK label text on both record labels. The official and genuine Factory Sample Sticker is on the side 1 record label.
Both record labels are in Mint Minus condition, bright undamaged record labels with no more than a couple of light centre spindle lines.
Both sides of the vinyl disc are in Mint Minus condition, the vinyl disc is in superb condition, clean and bright vinyl surfaces with no scratches or scuffs, all that is visible is a light inaudible surface hairline on side 2.
The side 1 matrix SAPCOR 6A-1 and Side 2: SAPCOR 6B-1.
The first issue Side 1 stamper is: 1G & Side 2 stamper is: 1G .
The album plays Perfectly throughout with NO skips or clicks, great sound quality.
The LP comes in it’s original White Printed inner record bag and is in undamaged Excellent Plus condition, with no seam splits, just mild creasing.
And is housed in its ORIGINAL glossy laminated card picture sleeve which is in Excellent Plus condition, the sleeve is very glossy, all edges are undamaged, showing just mild corner bumps, and a few manufacturing laminate pinches, and light laminate lifting, the laminate on the sleeve is NOT split or damaged, otherwise a really nice sleeve.
A very nice example, of this genuine Factory Sample LP, with first issue 1G Stamper Markings on both sides.
