Description
Here is a great Beatles related album for your collection.
John Lennon - John Lennon Sings The Great Rock & Roll Hits - Adam VIII Ltd. label #A-8018 stereo from 1975. This is a rare find! Commonly known as the "Roots" album, it was the John Lennon album that was concocted by Morris Levy, president of Roulette Records, from a raw tape of sessions that later became the John Lennon "Rock 'n' Roll" album. It was sold via mail order in early 1975, but was quickly removed from the market after Capitol Records threatened a lawsuit. Authentic copies fetch a tidy sum of money today. This is NOT an original due to the fact that the word "Greatest" appears on the spine of the cover. Authentic copies have the word "Great" instead. Other than that, everything else appears to look like the original ones. That said, this is still a very nice collectible, still very RARE to find in this condition.
The vinyl and labels are in NEAR MINT condition. The cover is in EXCELLENT condition, almost NEAR MINT, except for a 1 1/2" seam split and some wrinkling at the bottom of the opening.
If you have any questions please contact me as soon as possible, don't wait until a few hours before the auction ends, as I may not be checking it very often.
All vinyl will be shipped outside the jacket in paper or plastic inner sleeves, both jackets and records will be inside clear plastic or mylar sleeve.
Shipping and handling cost is $5.00 anywhere in U.S. (lower 48 states). Anywhere other than this area, please email me with costs before you bid. The cost includes postage and delivery confirmation, the eBay insertion fee and the BAGS UNLIMITED box. I still absorb the additional fees that are deducted from the selling price, (10% of the selling price) and for those of you who pay with PayPal, another 5% fee is charged to me. I don't make any money on the shipping and handling costs. If I only get one bid, eBay and the Post Office make more than I do on the deal. I do combine shipping and handling fees for multiple items purchased. Any questions, contact me before bidding. Thanks.
I ship in boxes made for LP's. I ship Media Mail with Delivery Confirmation unless buyer specifies, and pays for, something else. Insurance is optional, at buyers expense. Email me if you want insurance added.
I accept PayPal, cash, cashiers check, money orders and personal checks. If paying by personal check, I will hold item for 10 days to make sure it clears before shipping.
I WILL BE OUT OF TOWN FROM SUNDAY JANUARY 21 - THURSDAY JANUARY 25. I WILL CHECK MY MESSAGES FRIDAY WHEN I RETURN AND RESPOND TO ANY QUESTIONS.
Satisfaction guaranteed! I use the Goldmine Record Album Price Guide in grading my albums. If you feel the item is not how I described it, return it in the same condition for a full refund. Please do not leave negative feedback if not satisfied with the item purchased. I do everything I can to grade the items as conservatively as possible, but sometimes I might miss something someone else sees. Again, money back guarantee if not satisfied with the item.
