WITH 'MADE IN GT BRITAIN' LABEL REFERENCE, IN ORIGINAL PARLOPHONE – COMPANY RECORD BAG, AND RARE NEMS RECORD STORE BAG.
Item Description & Condition:
Released by Parlophone, UK on 5th October 1962 – almost 52 years ago - this First Issue vinyl 45 is on the distinctive RED Parlophone Label with Silver Printed text, with ‘The Parlophone Co Ltd....’ label rim and With ‘Recording First Published 1962’, With ‘Ardmore & Beechwood Ltd’ publishing credits. There are two versions of this Parlophone single, one version has no Made in Gt Britain label text, this version is **WITH** the ‘Made In Gt. Britain’ label text on both record labels.
Both record labels are in exceptional Near Mint condition, there is NO fading to the Red background and NO fading to the clear Silver Printed Text, there are just a couple of light centre spindle lines to both record labels.
Side 1stamped matrix is: 7XCE 17144-1N and Side 2: 7XCE-17145-1N.
Side 1 stampers: ZT1 L. and Side 2: ZT1 GG the embossed letters ZT are visible on the side two record label.
Both sides of the Vinyl Disc are in almost flawless Near Mint condition, beautiful, bright unworn vinyl surfaces, with no deep scratches or scuffs, showing just a couple of light insignificant surface hairlines, otherwise a beautiful disc.
Play Quality:
As expected both sides of this beautiful vinyl disc play with a fresh, clear sound quality throughout both tracks, without skips, clicks or pops and with none of the usual background noise the disc plays as good as it looks.
The Vinyl 45 comes in its original coloured Parlophone Company Sleeve, which is in very nice Excellent Plus condition, showing just light creasing, there are NO seam splits, tears, or hand writing.
And also includes it’s original and rare North End Music Store (N.E.M.S.) paper record bag, which is in superb Excellent condition, no tearing or seam splits, just light creases. These original NEMS bags are very rare.
A beautiful example (with stunningly clean vinyl surfaces) of this UK Beatles debut single, now almost 52 years since it’s first release back in 1962.
