The Beatles LOVE ME DO with Ringo on drums / Early Capitol Canada 45 / VG+ (Love Me Do: 7xCE-17144-2 and P.S. I Love You 7xCE-17145)
Original copy of The Beatles "Love Me Do/P.S. I Love You" Canada 45.
This record is credited with being the first Beatles release in North America. It was pressed in Canada using the actual UK vinyl 45 instead of the recording from the master tapes.
The song "Love Me Do" is slightly slower than the US release, and Ringo plays on the drums, instead of session drummer Andy White. The record was sold in Canada, and in the United States, near the Canada border.
The very first 1963 pressing had larger matrix numbers etched on both sides, with no suffix after the master number in the trail off area.
Later issues have smaller etched numbers, with an added suffix number. This one looks like a very interesting early 2nd pressing with "Love Me Do" matrix numbers: 7xCE- 17144-2 in smaller etched numbers, and "P.S. I Love You" 7xCE-17145 in larger etched numbers.
The record is graded VG+, great sound, no skips, lots of gloss, shows some wear (see photos). Unique addition to your Beatles collection.
