Item Description & Condition:

’LOVE ME DO/PS I LOVE YOU’ was The Beatles debut UK Single, released by Parlophone on the Red with Silver Printed Parlophone Label.

Released by Parlophone, UK on 5 October 1962 – nearly 51 years ago - this FIRST ISSUE VINYL 45 is on the DISTINCTIVE RED Parlophone Label with Silver Printed text, with ‘The Parlophone Co Ltd....’ label rim and With ‘Recording First Published 1962’, With ‘Ardmore & Beechwood Ltd’ publishing credits, there are two versions of this Parlophone Label, one version has the Made in Gt Britain label text, this version is **WITHOUT** the ‘Made In Gt. Britain’ label text. Additionaly there is a label error on side 2, the closed bracket on the side two label composer credits is missing, see scan.

Both record labels are in beautiful Excellent Plus to Near Mint condition, there is NO fading to the Red background and NO fading to the CLEAR Silver Printed Text, there are just a few light centre spindle lines to each label.

Side 1 matrix: 7XCE 17144-1N and Side 2: 7XCE-17145-1N.
The Side 1 stamper letters AD have been crossed out with an x and replaced with GO, and are MPZT1 GO. and Side 2: MPZT1 GO the Embossed letters MT are visible on the side two record label.

Both sides of the Vinyl Disc are in really superb Excellent Plus Plus condition, bright unworn vinyl surfaces, with no deep scratches or scuffs, showing just a couple of light surface hairlines.

Play Quality:

Both sides of the record play well throughout, without skips, with only mild background crackle to both tracks.

The Vinyl 45 comes in its ORIGINAL Multi Coloured Parlophone Company Sleeve, which is in very respectable Excellent condition, showing just light creasing, there are NO seam splits or tears.

A SUPERB example of this VERY COLLECTIBLE BEATLES DEBUT UK Single nearly reaching it’s 51st year since it’s first release way back in 1962.
