The Beatles 'Live at the BBC' Vinyl Record
Between March 1962 and June 1965, no less than 275 unique musical performances by The Beatles were broadcast by the BBC in the UK. The group played 88 different songs on national radio - some were recorded many times; 37 were performed just once. Issued in 1994, Live At the BBC presented alternative versions of tracks familiar from The Beatles' records made in the sixties plus an impressive total of 30 songs receiving their first ever release. Ranging from a Lennon-McCartney original to rock 'n' roll number by Chuck Berry and Little Richard, the previously unreleased material generated worldwide excitement leading to sales of over five million. Between the songs, The Beatles' boisterous interplay with BBC announcers reveals the group shaking up British radio in this era.
These recordings have been remastered to ensure the highest possible sound quality. However, some tracks included for their historical significance do not represent the usual sound quality of studio recordings.
