Up for auction is a great album, it is The Beatles Abbey Road, 1969 release. It is the first release in the US. It is in great shape. The cover has the original plastic cover on it still. It has been opened so there is an opening for the album to come out. Because the plastic is on the cover is in great shape. There is some wear on the opening of the cover and the corners are not sharp but they are in good condition.
I think, you won't find a better album out there. Unless you find one unopened.
Album was used very little. The inside sleeve is in great shape too. The album looks shiny and there are no scratches. I haven't been able to play it only because I don't want to ruin it with today's type of needle. There are no nicks near the spindle hole. Label is fantastic.
Numbers on the album are SO1-383-F7 on the green apple side SO1-383-b10 on the white apple side. This is COVER # 2 : SECOND BATCH Prior to the album going on sale, Capitol had the film for the back cover revised to list the song Her Majesty after The End. By the time the new artwork was sent out on September 24, 1969 many covers had been printed. Thus, the SECOND BATCH of jacket covers listing Her Majesty (SC1B, Spizer) are less common and rarer than the covers not listing the song.The front cover image has the exact characteristics of Cover # 1 : more of the crosswalk at the bottom edge of the cover, and includes a portion of a square road sewer positioned on the bottom edge of the cover, beneath Ringo and John's feet.

Poster is in very good to good condition. I can say that the colors are very good. Not faded. The corners are intact. Edges are intact. There are 3 folding horizontal creases. They definitely show the creases. there is a lot of wear on 2 of the horizontal creases. The bottom crease is not wear like the other two. There is a slight small tear in the center on the left edge. There is also a tear on the top, again just a small one. There are 4 tac holes one in each corner. There is three stains on the poster too. 1 on the front and two on the back.
Poster is 47 years old and for that age and being made out of heavy paper, considering those facts and this poster is in great shape.
