Description
I’m putting up for auction MORE BEATLES PICTURE SLEEVES, MATCHING 45 RPM RECORDS & PROMO RECORDS. So, you may want to check out my other auctions, too.
In this auction are 1 original Beatles Picture Sleeve and 1 original Beatles Tollie Records 45 RPM record.
Here are the details:
· “LOVE ME DO” b/w “P.S. I LOVE YOU” by The Beatles
· This is TOLLIE RECORDS T-9008.
· This record was issued in 1964.
· The Picture Sleeve for Tollie Records T-9008 was issued April 27, 1964.
· This is an early pre-Capitol Records Picture Sleeve.
· This picture sleeve has become especially popular and desirable, because the drawing on this sleeve was later used on the VERY RARE PORTRAIT COVER prepared for the later issue of “The Beatles And Frank Ifeld On Stage” Vee Jay LP (Vee Jay 1085 LP).
· The Picture Sleeve is in STRONG VG CONDITION. There are NO SEAM SPLITS and NO WRITING on this sleeve. There is moderate overall wear with a little more wear on one side of the sleeve than the other. There is some slight wrinkling on the sleeve at the opening. There are 2 tiny tears (with no paper loss) at the opening at top center and some light folds/creases mostly on one side. There is some light disc impression. The sleeve still has good color.
· The VINYL (both sides) is NICE VG+ CONDITION with just a few slight surface hairlines/scuffs. This Tollie pressing has yellow labels with “TOLLIE” and “RECORDS” in black print in a box. The curved “E” in “TOLLIE” confirms that the record is not a counterfeit.
A NICE EARLY BEATLES PICTURE SLEEVE that is becoming increasingly hard-to-find these days!
