Original 1962 1st Pressing on the Parlophone Red Label Catalogue number 45-R4949

Entering the Charts on 11th October 1962 and reaching the dizzy heights of number 17 and remaining in the Charts for 18 weeks, This is an Excellent example of a much sought after piece of musical history from almost 50 years ago. With Ringo on drums and no Tambourine this record is getting hard to find in this condition.

The Record is in excellent condition with few minimal blemishes to the high gloss vinyl playing surfaces.

The labels are in superbly clean condition with only a few extremely feint spindle marks to be seen.

The record plays extremely well with no clicks, jumps or background noise. The Sound Quality is clear, strong and uninterrupted.

The Tax Code stamp of “ZT” signifies a reduced Purchase Tax of 45% and Price Changes. This Code was introduced on April 10th 1962.

THE LABEL ON SIDE 1 HAS THE “Z.T.” STAMP EMBOSSED IN THE PUSH OUT CENTRE – The embossing is extremely fine and is barely discernable to the naked eye, but with the aid of a glass ( x4 mag), can be seen to be clearly embossed as opposed to impressed. It is set at a diagonal under the letter “N” in Parlophone, spaced each side of the spindle hole.

Both Labels Omit the Silver Text - Made in Great Britain

7XCE 17145 1N – P.S. I Love You (side 2)

On side 1 Etched in the dead wax run out area, at the 8-o' clock position, is ZT with a small number 1 underneath at 2-o’clock there is a letter G.

On side 2 Etched in the dead wax run out area at the 9-o' clock position is ZT and at 3-o’clock there is a letter M.

The Record comes in its Original “Type A” Parlophone “Beach Striped” Company Sleeve which is in extremely good condition. It does have a few creases but at almost 50 years old it has certainly stood the test of time.
