Description
This is a stereo 2 LP Japanese pressing of The Beatles record Love Songs (UK Version). In my opinion, this record has the nicest packaging of the entire series. It was issued as #31 in the series on 11/05/1977 by Toshiba EMI LTD on black vinyl. This series was only released on black vinyl. There is a double LP in a gatefold cover with an OBI. There is also an 8 page insert with notes in Japanese and with a discography that is in excellent condition with only a slight bend in the upper right corner. There is also a 28-page booklet with the lyrics in English that is in mint- condition with no bends or tears. Both are printed on nice quality paper. The record is from my personal collection and was initially cleaned on a VPI record vacuum and treated with Last Record preservative. It was recently demagnetized and re-cleaned with an Audio Desk Ultra-sonic record cleaner. The record was recently play graded using a Lyra Parnassus on a VPI Classic IV turntable with a 3D arm.
Record 1 is in excellent condition with a few hairline scratches on each side and plays with very little surface noise with 1 light tick noted on side 1 and 2 on side 2. The scratches do not sound. Record 2 is mint- with no scuffs or scratches and plays with little surface noise with no ticks noted on side 3 and 4 noted on side 4.
The cover is a textured gatefold jacket with gold stamping is in excellent condition no tears or seam splits but does have some slight compression in the upper left and lower right corners. The OBI is in mint- condition with no bends or tears. The insert has is excellent and the booklet is mint- as noted above.
I will be selling off some of my Japanese Beatles collection over the next few weeks. Please be sure to look for more of my listings from this series of 41 LPs issued by Toshiba EMI between 1976 and 1982. I have a complete set and will eventually be listing them all.
Multiple LPs can be combined to save shipping costs for USA customers. If bidding on multiple LPs, please wait for me to send you an invoice with the combined shipping.
