Item Description/Condition
Featured here is a superb example of this SCARCE AND BRIEFLY ISSUED Original 1976 UK FIRST ISSUE Vinyl LP for The Beatles UK Parlophone release, MAGICAL MYSTERY TOUR, featuring tracks taken from The Beatles TV film Magical Mystery Tour.
Released in the UK 19th November 1976, this is the first time that Magical Mystery Tour was released in the UK as an Album. For reasons unknown, EMI did not advertise this UK Parlophone LP in any way at the time. Consequently it did not sell very well, and failed to chart at the time, making first issues of this album very sought after now, due to its BRIEF release.
The Stereo Vinyl LP is on the official Black & Silver Parlophone Label, with ‘Mfd in the UK by EMI Records’ label rim, printed to both sides of the record labels.
Both record labels are in EX condition – an undamaged set of record labels with only light signs of play.
The Side 1first issue matrix is: YEX 959-1 and side 2 matrix: YEX 960-1. Side 1 stampers: 4 3, Additionally in the trail out groove are the letters HTM. Side 2 stampers: 3 IO, (it looks like IO to me but is very faint) also with the letters HTM.Both sides of the Vinyl disc are in an Excellent condition – with nothing more than only faint signs of use
The cover is graded Excellent- , only mild signs of use. Clean and sharp, no rips or splits etc
