Please note that I always play my records prior to listing, I use the standard Goldmine grading shown below when describing the vinyl.

I always use large photos and try to give the most accurate description when grading both the vinyl and the album covers. 

  • SS (still sealed) -never opened or played
  • M (mint) -absolutely perfect in every way -I never use this rating
  • NM or M- (near mint) -shiny with no visible defects at all -no surface noise when played -nearly perfect
  • VG+ or E (vg plus or excellent) -may show some slight signs of wear, including light scuffs or very light scratches that do not affect the listening experience. Most collectors, especially those who want to play their records would be happy with the VG+ record, especially if it is toward the high end of the grade sometimes called VG++ or E+
  • VG (very good) plays with more than normal surface noise and some scratches may be audible
  • VG- (very good minus) plays through with no skipping but with heavy surface noise
