Description
This is the Australian release of The Beatles’ Magical Mystery Tour (catalogue number W.R.C S/4574). The back cover says “An APPLE/E.M.I. recording released exclusively in Australia by World Record Club”. The record is in good condition but has a number of minor scratches. There are no skips. There is some surface noise but it is mostly noticeable between tracks. I only noticed a few audible ticks during “I am the Walrus” and “Strawberry Fields Forever” while the music was playing. Side 2 is recorded in the pseudo-stereo like most releases of this record. The front cover is embossed and is in good condition. The back cover is not embossed and has some ring wear. There are several wrinkles and creases along the spine on the rear cover. The spine has several places where the embossing split and the paper underneath flaked off. This is visible in the photos as the white spots along the spine. There are no seam splits. When I first bought this record a number of years ago, I cleaned it with a VPI record cleaner, treated it with LAST record preservative, placed it in a rice-paper inner sleeve, and placed the cover in a plastic outer sleeve. More recently, I recleaned it with an Audo Desk ultrasonic record cleaner and demagnetized it with a Furutech record demagnetizer. The record is from my personal collection. This copy has the original light green World Record label from 1970.
