Description
I purchased this album in the secondary market advertised in near mint vinyl with an excellent (and super close to near mint) jacket and following my own appraisal I agree with this. After a light cleaning I played the album through Grado PS1000e’s and the sound was well within near mint condition and without any defect. A visual inspection reveals some light surface marks when looking at the vinyl under bright light (more noticeable on the B-side) and moving it back and forth however this in no way translated into the play. On the A Side Label there are three small marks to the right of the title (it looks like The Predator's red aiming thing, you'll see). This all having been said numerically I score the vinyl a 94, a solid A and well within the near mint category. The cover is so close to being near mint however I am assigning a numerical score of 87. There is nominal corner wear, most noticeably on the right bottom and top front gatefold. Seams are all tight and the spine is perfect. What is hurting the grade the most is a rub spot on the cover (begins to the immediate right of the word 'Way' in the white banner and runs 2mm at the widest for a total of 12cm with the most noticeably piece being 5mm of exposed white). This almost blends in but not quite. Finally within the inside of the cover are a number of spots of discoloration (I have no idea what this is, and none of this has translated to the front or rear cover. I am 99% certain it is not water related (I checked to make sure there were no weird smells coming from the cover, there aren't). Album will be shipped outside of the jacket within a protective plastic sleeve. Album will be packed within cardboard in a Whiplash mailer. If you have any questions please let me know and thanks for looking!
