The Beatles  "Magical Mystery Tour"

This is a Taiwan Import on First FL-1524.   The album is originally from 1968.   It is pressed on black vinyl and it's in stereo.

The lyrics to five songs are printed on the back cover.    They are printed completely backwards !!    The cover is not a gatefold.    Inside this cover is different cover for a Chico Hamilton album.       On the side two label it spells one song as four words : "Straw Berry Fields Forever".       On this pressing the music gets noisy and louder and almost unlistenable near the end of each side.

The songs are : Magical Mystery tour, The Fool On The Hill, Flying, Blue Jay Way, Your Mother Should Know, I Am The Walrus, Hello Goodbye, Strawberry Fields Forever, Penny Lane, Baby You're A Rich Man, and All You Need Is Love. 

What are Taiwan Imports and why should you buy one??    Taiwan imports are copies of US albums that were pressed without obeying copyright laws.     They were pressed by small companies in Taiwan ( or Formosa ), in extremely limited numbers ( between 100 and 500 ).    It was illegal to export them out of the country, so the only way they got out was from US servicemen who bought them there and then brought them back when they returned from overseas duty.    Then they had to be sold to a used record store and then resold to a collector.     There are many cover and label variations to watch for.    Sometimes they are pressed on colored vinyl.     Most of the time the front covers are poor quality copies.     Many back covers are different or will have the lyrics printed, some with errors and typos.     Sometimes there are album slicks from other albums inside the covers.     The US record company logo is gone and a Chinese record company and record number are in it's place.   All of their labels are unique with lots of Chinese character writing.    The covers are made of paper which is sealed in very thin plastic, inside and outside.    They are pressed on poor quality vinyl which plays with some static.    They never note the country name on the cover or on the labels.

The cover is G+.    There is a eight inch seam split on the left seam.    There are some stretch marks in the plastic and a small hole in the plastic in the top left corner.      The bottom left corner is bent.     The vinyl looks VG, but plays poorly.    On side one the first four songs play VG+, but the last two songs play G-.    It get unlistenable with loud noise.     There is also loud static between songs.     Side two looks VG, but plays poorly.   The first songs plays VG+, the next three songs play VG-, and the last song plays G-.    It is unlistenable with load noise.      There is also loud static between the songs.     The labels are clean with light spindle marks.    

I will package this record between two pieces of 1/2 inch thick cardboard.   It's so thick that you will save it and use it again.    It will weigh 21 ounces ( 1 pound, 15 ounces ) when ready to ship.   You can figure out your own shipping costs for US Priority or Media Mail.    It will be sent by First Class Mail International to overseas buyers.   ( Buyers from Brazil will assume all risks for shipping to their country )     I will send it as soon as you pay ( same day if before 2 PM and next day if after 2 PM).    I will combine shipping if you win more than one record.    This record is from a no smoking and no pets home.
