The Beatles - Magical Mystery Tour Plus Other Songs Horzu/Apple Records Label - SHZE 327 1973 German Pressing on Black 12 Inch Vinyl
Matrix / Runout (Variation 1: Runout Side A - Stamped): SHZE 327 - A-1 Matrix / Runout (Variation 1: Runout Side B - Stamped): SHZE 327 - B-3
This listing is for an original 1973 german pressing of the classic Beatles album Magical Mystery Tour.  Widely regarded by collectors and as one of the best sounding not only examples of this album but of any Beatles vinyl record.  One of the most underrated albums by the Beatles, this has some of their best tracks including, Penny Lane, Strawberry Fields Forever and I Am The Walrus.
My other half and I are massive Beatles fans and we can with some merit back up the opinion that this and the German pressing of Please Please Me are the best sounding Beatles vinyl you can get.  I would also look for the -2 matrix as this also sounds amazing and some have said even better than this.
This example is not in the best condition but it is still very playable and an affordable to get this increasingly sought after vinyl in your collection.  Mint copies of chaning hands for £70-£80 so I have priced this with condition in mind.  Please note that this pressing/sleeve has been heavily bootlegged and does not have anything like the quality of audio of the originals.  This is 100% original as you will tell from the patina on the sleeve.
Please check out my other listings for other rarities and classics across various genres.
All of my records are play tested on a Technics SL-1200 with a Grado GF3 stylus which is quite revealing so any sound defects may be more exaggerated than on other more mainstream players.  Or conversely if you are a full on audiophile I will let you judge how your set up compares and how you envisage the sound will compare.
I don't currently have access to a cleaning machine so please forgive any dust or finger marks which are on any of my records - hopefully will be investing in one at some point.
Record Appearance - G/VG Somewhere in between G and VG, although there are no heavy or deep scratches there are a lot of light marks and hairline scratches from poor handling.  The labels are in good condition with no pen marks just the usual spindle marks.
Record Audio - G/VG Again difficult to grade as somewhere between G and VG, more towards the latter I think.  There is a lot of surface noise which can be heard on quieter moments on the album.  The superb sound quality does shine through for the most part and overall is still an enjoyable listen.  Paul's vocals on tracks such as Your Mother Should Know are just breathtakingly clear and so much better than even the UK versions on this album.
Record Sleeve - VG I would say this is the lower end of VG as there is quite a bit of shelf wear on the corners and edges, slightly damaging part of the titles.  The sleeve is still intact with only minimal ring wear due to the high quality material used.  The colours are vivid although a little grubby but might clean up with a careful hand, which I do not have unfortunately.  The rear of the sleeve is in really condition surprisingly considering the white colour.  The record is stored in the original paper sleeve which is in quite poor condition, being crinkled and slightly torn. Sorry I don't have any spare sleeves at the moment to replace it.
All questions answered and offers considered.  Thanks for looking and please follow me and check out my other listings as they appear.  I work full time and have 3 children so please forgive any delay in communication but should be within 24 hours.
