Scranton Pressing (IAM Triangle in Deadwax)


Classic U.S. Capitol configuration featuring the 1967 film soundtrack on Side One and the essential 1967 singles on Side Two (“Strawberry Fields Forever,” “Penny Lane,” “All You Need Is Love,” etc.).


Matrix / Runout:

• Side 1: SMAL-1-2835-A23 △ IAM

• Side 2: SMAL-1-2835-B24 △ IAM


This SMAL-2835 Scranton pressing features later lacquer cuts (A23/B24), indicating a late-60s to early-70s Capitol recut rather than a first 1967 pressing.


The presence of the IAM triangle confirms pressing at Capitol’s Scranton plant — widely regarded for consistent vinyl quality during this era.


While not a first lacquer (A1/B1), these rainbow label Scranton pressings remain desirable for:

• Full analog mastering

• Warm Capitol-era EQ

• Complete booklet (often missing)

• Classic U.S. configuration unique to America
