UK 1963 1st PRESSING 4-TRACK EP

This superb 1963 UK 1st pressing is on the yellow & black Parlophone label: GEP 8882

Both labels omit the 'Sold in UK..' text but carry 'Parlophone Co. Ltd..' worded rims.

The 'KT' purchase tax code is visible in the center of the side 1 label.

Housed in a front laminated, bi-flipback 'Garrod' printed picture cover which features an alternate shot from the 'Please, Please Me' album cover photo session.

Matrix numbers: 7TCE 764-1N & 7TCE 765-1N

Stamper codes: 1/GD & 2/GH

CONDITION

Labels: NEAR MINT

A superb set with no spindle marks around either centre hole. The mark to the left of the centre 'push-out' appears to be from manufacture and not damage or wear.

Visual: EXCELLENT +

Both surfaces are extremely clean & glossy with just some harmless and faint sleeve removal/storage blemishes visible in strong daylight, but no scratches or any other visual marks or wear - even directly beneath halogen light.

Play: EXCELLENT +

Ths sound on this barely played copy is clean & totally unworn throughout & even has silent run-ins. Apart from a single soft 'pop' on 'Anna', there is nothing else to fault soundwise.

Cover

EXCELLENT +

A 1st-class example which retains a perfect, 'as new' high-gloss front laminate with no creasing or wrinkles anywhere. All corners & opening edges are completely unworn and would have graded NM if it were not for a faint stain to the left of the large 'BEATLES' word on the otherwise pristine rear panel. All flipbacks and seams are in perfect, unworn condition.
