Description
The Beatles 45 rpm record Nowhere Man b/w What Goes On Capitol 5587
East coast straight top opening picture sleeve 45 is a Scranton pressing with the triangle with "I AM" inside - matrix numbers are stamped
Some background: I found the picture sleeve by itself with a number of other picture sleeves in a 60s style 45 box, the 45 was along side the other 45s so it appears that the picture sleeves were separated from the records pretty much as soon as they got home from the record store. I've never seen a copy of this picture sleeve in better condition. Take a look at the photos! As for the 45, it sounds great and loud as I played both sides all the way through on my turntable (after giving both sides a VPI clean). What Goes On specifically rocks and I think it maybe could be an early mix as I was hearing things I'd never heard before like a weird ghost Ringo at the end and a few background HEYS that I don't remember hearing on my copy of Yesterday and Today. There are some minor scuffs and a little noise on the lead in but the record retains much of its original gloss. It got played but not abused. I'm going to call it between VG and VG+ just to be very conservative. Some might grade it higher. Also: nice and clean labels. Again: look at the photos.
I will ship in a 45 mailer with the record in a separate sleeve.
