THE BEATLES / VARIOUS Tribute To The Cavern (1984 UK 16 track Mono LP compilaton, originally only made available exclusively from The Cavern,
This custom-pressed album was available only at the Cavern Club in Mathew Street, Liverpool and was produced for the club by EMI to celebrate its rebuilding and the re-opening on 26 April 1984.
This album presents some of the most famous recordings to emerge from the Merseybeat era.
Features 8 Beatles tracks on side two. Side one includes other Merseybeat artists such as Gerry and The Pacemakers and Billy J Kramer with The Dakotas.
The sleeve notes written by Tony Barrow who wrote the sleeve notes for a number of The Beatles’ early albums and EPs.
Producers: George Martin and Walter J.Ridley.
Sleeve has text: “Exclusively Available From The Cavern”, on the front side and appears to be in a laminated cover.

Record: Good
This is far from a perfect copy but will play through from start to finish without skips or jumps. Unfortunately it does suffer from crackles here and there, especially at the start of both sides but gets better as it plays through.
The labels are clean, no writng or stickers etc. Having just played this through i did enjoy it in spite of the crackles and if you take it for what it is and are not hyper critical then it would still be an enjoyable addition to your collection.
Cover: Good
There is some damage to the front and rear. I have photographed the damaged areas, see pictures 2 (just above centre) & 6 (centre and centre top), On the up side, the spine is good and there are no seam splits.

I will post using a specially made LP box with a PVC protective cover all sealed in a water resistant mailing bag and sent with appropriately insured postage. Any questions or more pic's required please ask, thanks for looking.
Grading System used:
- Mint: The record itself is in brand new condition with no surface marks or deterioration in sound quality. The cover and any extra items such as the lyric sheet, booklet or poster are in perfect condition.
- Excellent: The record shows some signs of having been played, but there is very little lessening of sound quality. The cover and packaging might have slight wear and / or creasing.
- Very Good: The record has obviously been played many times, but displays no major deterioration in sound quality, despite noticeable surface marks and the occasional light scratch. Normal wear and tear on the cover or extra items, without any major defects, is acceptable.
- Good: The record has been played so much that the sound quality has noticeably deteriorated, perhaps with some distortion and mild scratches. The cover and contents suffer from folding, scuffing of edges, spine splits, discolouration etc...
- Fair: The record is still just playable but has not been cared for properly and displays considerable surface noise: it may even jump. The cover and contents will be badly damaged or partly missing.
- Poor: The record will not play properly due to scratches, bad surface noise etc.. The cover and contents will be badly damaged or partly missing.
- Bad: The record is unplayable or might even be broken, and is only of use as a collection filler.
