Description

The Beatles 'PLEASE PLEASE ME' UK Mono 3rd Pressing- First Yellow and Black Pressing with EXTREMELY Rare '33 1/3' label Misprint!

On offer here is an original mono third pressing of the Beatles first album from 1963 'Please Please Me', this one pressed in that year and is the first yellow and black label to this album and indeed any album by the Beatles, the key differences between this one and normal third pressings is the '33 1/3' print that has been left on the label, which was a regular feature to the early black and gold pressings, however was never intended to be left on the new yellow and black label format of this album, and was quickly abandoned.

Dead Wax information:

Matrix Numbers: XEX 421-1N/ XEX 422-1N

Stampers: 1/PM & 12/GO

Condition:

Outer Sleeve: A nice solid example of this Garrod and Lofthouse sleeve, although there is the previous owners name written on the top of the rear flipback, it is by no means trashed and structurally very much in one piece with no major faults apart from the pen. Very Good.

Side One/ Side Two: Both sides in normal light are looking relatively clean, under extreme bright light there are a number of light markings but nothing at all heavy and NOT a complete coating either, the play is solid with just light background in quiet areas throughout. Good Plus/ Very Good Minus (Visual/ Audio).

Labels: Some light ringwear showing however no names/ graffiti/ stickers. Excellent Minus.

Inner: Very Good Plus
