Description
The Beatles Please Please Me Odeon ZTOX 5550. This is the same album as the Parlaphone release but it was pressed in Germany on the Odeon label and sold only in The PX to US soldiers stationed in Germany at the time of it’s release in 1963. The cover of this album is in excellent condition and has the original plastic outer sleeve it was sold in complete with the PX price tag. The Odeon pressings weren’t as high quality as the Parlaphone pressings and are noted for bumps in the surface of the vinyl. That said the album is extremely clean but has one 1/4” long small what appears to be a non audible scratch on one side. The bumps are audible only between tracks and aren’t audibly loud at all. Sounds like a slight rumble between tracks is all. The sound and play is excellent otherwise. I have a short video of it playing for a sample of audio quality that can be sent on request. It does not have the original sleeve with other albums pictured. Has a plain white paper sleeve. This album has been excellently cared for and is in great shape.
