Description
Probably the best debut album released by any band, ever. This is the rare 1971 stereo (ninth pressing) issue that for some reason only known to EMI came with the stereo marker eliminated from the front cover. Indeed it looks like "ono" from the Mono identifier is still barely legible, although this is definitely a stereo record. Other identifiers are the black label with the 'two-box' EMI logo and silver print. “The Gramophone Co Ltd…” is printed at the start of the perimeter print and “Made In GT. Britain” is carried in upper text.
- Matrix / Runout (Runout Side A): YEX 94-1
- Matrix / Runout (Runout Side B): YEX 95-1
Vinyl: Excellent condition, no scratches or blemishes. Plays superbly with very few pops or crackles. Cover: Very good, no splits or damage to laminated front. Slight ageing colouration to back cover with small crease to bottom right corner.
Inner sleeve is plain white.
Owned from new since the early 1970s and very carefully looked after.
