Description
The Beatles, Please Please Me, Black/Gold Parlophone, Mono, Dick James, G/G. Condition is Used. Dispatched with Royal Mail 1st class signed for or international tracked and signed postage.
A worn and clearly much played UK press of this much sought after record on the black and gold Parlophone label.
I would grade both the vinyl and the sleeve as G (Discogs grading) although, as always with these early Parlophones, the record plays much better than it looks. Lots of surface marks on both sides with accompanying crackle but the record played through without skips, jumps or sticks when test played.
The labels have the all important "Dick James Mus. Co." credits for the songs that were later changed to Northern Songs.
The sleeve is mostly intact but the spine is split as shown in the photo and the sleeve as a whole is showing signs of wear. Please check the photos as I have tried to highlight any issues. The rear of the sleeve has sellotape on the bottom left corner. The record comes with the original Emitex inner.
The record will be professionally cleaned on a Project VC-S prior to despatch.
All in all, a playable (just) copy but essentially a collection filler. Bidding starts for this collectable record at just £100GBP.
Postage will be by tracked and signed delivery wherever in the world the record ends up going to. The cost of that will be £5.57GBP within the UK, £20GBP to Europe and £25GBP to the rest of the world. If insurance is required then that can be arranged at cost.
If you have any questions then please ask.
