Description

Firstly - the record.

This is something of a belter. To look at, it's in really super nick with really only the faintest of hairlines. No deep impact damage whatever. Pretty clean and shiny and as pleasing on the eye as you could wish for on a record over 55 years old. As such, the sound quality is little short of fantastic. Very little in the way of crackle and pop and certainly no skips or jumps.

Labels are similarly strong - unmarked and clean with very little wear. This record has been remarkably well looked after & I honestly think that with a professional clean it would be pretty much as good as new.

The Ernest J Day sleeve shows age more than the record does. Slightly dog eared but certainly looks nice from the front. Both top & bottom flipbacks have been symathetically repaired. That said, it's actually intact and pretty strong so long as it's taken care of. There is some faint pen marking on the back but otherwise it's pretty clean as can be seen by the pictures. I don't mind a little pen marking because I think it adds character but if you do then you might want to look elsewhere. Spine is strong and readable. As far as sleeves are concerned I think that a couple of decent pictures tell a thousand words.

So if you're just into stone cold museum pieces then you might want to look slightly further (with a few more quid in your pocket) but other than that this is a worthwhile addition to any collection. Any Beatles record in half decent shape with a yellow & black label like this represents a sound investment if nothing else and I believe this one to be priced fairly enough. If you enjoy them as much as I do then so much the better!

All of which is as honest and accurate as possible but please feel free to ask any further questions.

I post promptly and securely second class to keep our costs down (see my feedback) and I make no money on postage.

Let me know if you're planning on bidding on any of my other Beatles records because I can happily combine postage.

Good luck and happy bidding
