I have here the first issue black/gold Parlophone Dick James issue of the legendary Please Please Me album.
I would say that it would grade as a good as it has quite a few noticeable marks on the vinyl.
I have played it through and I have to say that it sounds awesome....... But..... Track 1 side 1 I Saw her standing there does skip in 2 places. The rest with pops and crackles sounds great. I played it on a cheap record player and I am biased when I say this but..... For a record that is 55 years old and scratched I love that sound. There really is nothing like the sound of bacon sizzling on the turntable...metaphorically speaking.
Does have a very slight warp but does not affect play
The sleeve does have some splitting but it is the original Angus McBean far right sleeve. I will put in a nice later sleeve.
Nice labels although worn slightly
Comes in original inner
this is a great opportunity to own a classic if only as a filler
