The Beatles Please Please Me Gold Mono 1st press DJ label Type 1a
The Beatles Please Please Me 1st dick James press type 1a.
Another rarer than rare record you are ever likely to see for sale, and the second best one I have (the best is reserved for the Complete Mono run collection on my other auction).
Featured on the site www.beatlebay.co.uk (which is for sale on one of other auctions) , as a first press Type 1a , this copy was pressed on an even older machine that was typically last used in the late 50's.
The difference here, is the indented pressing outer rings which are consistent all the way around and on both sides. The Stampers for these are always 1H /1H and the usual tax code seen is WOTZ which makes it earlier than any 1G standard copy. These were in fact released before them and were the very first editions to be pressed. The 1H / 1H stampers are in fact the default setting on this particular pressing machine, more info can be found on my website.
These are incredably rare and only now are people realising their significance in the scheme of things!
VERY VERY VERY hard to get a mint one of these and in fact I've never seen one. It is hard enough to get one in Good+ condition and luckily this alot better than good!
Cover is graded VG+ / Good+ as it nice on the front, but has a water mark to the back thou the flipbacks are complete.
Comes complete with correct Patent pending EMITEX inner Sleeve.
Considering not many if any of you out there that collect labels have this label..
99p auction Don't miss!!

I am and have always considered myself a Beatlefreak and collector. I am not a dealer, but have many treasures I've collected over the years that I have now decided to part with.
