Description
Please Please Me an original UK pressing from 1963 on the Parlophone label. Matrix -1N/-1N. Tax code 'MT'. The record label is consistent with an early pressing from 1963. 'Parlophone Co.' and no mention of the blurb later used 'Sold Subject to....' on later 60's pressings. Early copies are also identifiable by the cover's printer 'Ernest J Day'.
Cover (VG) Has been well cared for. Nice and shiny front and only some moderate ageing to the rear. The flipbacks are all intact baring slight damage at the bottom right. The text on the spine is still readable.
Vinyl (VG) The vinyl has seen quite a bit of use and there are a number of light marks evident on the paying surface. A thorough testing reveals a VERY GOOD level of playback from beginning to end. There a few more crackles than you'd like in places, but the bold sound still comes across very well and it is a thoroughly enjoyable listen.
