Description

This is a beautiful copy of The Beatles' LP "Please Please Me" on EMI/ Odeon EAS-70130 from Japan. This is a specially pressed Mono copy on Red Vinyl. It is an audiophile disc!

First, the vinyl looks totally Mint. There is not a mark on it! Next, I play tested some of the LP on my Denon DP-62L turntable with Shure M97 cartridge. The vinyl plays totally Mint! There is silence in the lead-in grooves and in the grooves between cuts. The sound, of course is dynamic, being on this specially mastered recording!

If I remember correctly, I bought this and the Japanese "Help!" LP Mono on red vinyl back in the '80's and I played this LP once, once only! It is stone Mint!! I will be listing the "Help!" LP later today.

The familiar songs on this LP really have that extra "punch" because it is in Mono and because it is a specially pressed Japanese LP! It's a new experience!

Back in the '80's a company called YSL Records imported records from Japan. YSL put a heavy duty clear record cover on these LP's So, the LP cover has been covered all these years in one of those heavy duty sleeves. The result is that the cover is still in Mint condition.

It is widely known that when the Beatles were finished recording an LP, they hung around while the LP was being mastered in Mono, and made suggestions if they felt they were needed. They left the regular studio engineers do the stereo version. So, here is a magnificent pressing of "Please Please Me" as The Beatles wanted it to sound- in Mono. Plus the red vinyl looks awesome on the turntable as an extra bonus.
