Original January 1964 Australian pressing of Please Please Me
This is the last "Black & Gold" Parlophone edition to be pressed of this album in Australia.
Sleeve is high gloss and in excellent condition. Original owners' surname is written in biro on the front cover below the title. No attempt has been made to remove this to avoid damaging the sleeve. The sleeve is flip-back design.
Spine text is sharp and clear. Rear of sleeve is very clean. No pen marks and very little ring-wear
Minimal spindle wear on both sides of the label
The vinyl itself plays through beautifully and sounds fantastic. Only very minor crackles between tracks which are not audible once the music kicks in. This is one of the best Please Please Me pressings I have heard. Some minor superficial hairlines visible on vinyl but nothing which affects playback or listening experience. Close-up photographs on vinyl have been provided.
Both the Please Please Me album title on the record sticker and the Please Please Me song title on the sticker are mis-printed as 'Please, Please Me'. The comma, however, does not appear on the rear sleeve track listing.
Both the mono and stereo catalogue numbers appear on top-right rear of sleeve
