Description
An original Mono 4th Press of PPM on the Parlophone label from 1963. Matrix 1N/1N. Tax Code - 'MT'. Please note labels are consistent with an early 4th press - there's NO 'Sold In The UK' statement on the labels. The heavy set vinyl comes housed in an original Ernest J Day cover. Also included is the original Emitex inner sleeve. So, 100% genuine and 100% complete. And most certainly one of the finest copies I've ever set my eyes on...
Vinyl (Ex+/NM) In truly unbelievable condition and has only seen the very lightest of use. Under close inspection we struggled to make out a single mark. A thorough testing from beginning to end reveals an, at least, EXCELLENT+ level of playback. These early copies are just a revelation for sound quality...transparency like you wouldn't believe. Interference is non-existent. We couldn't detect more than a couple of crackles the entire way through. FINAL UPGRADE - no chance of going any better...
Cover (Ex+) Wow! Just when you think you've seen the best copy ever - Bam! A time-machine copy arrives...I have never held a PPM copy like this one. It is the closest thing I've seen to factory fresh from 1963. The front cover is perfectly shiny and totally unaged in any way. There's barely a single crease on the front....that's seriously unusual. Just one tiny knock in the bottom left corner. The rear, which is so often the let down, is unbelievably white like nothing I've seen before. Totally unaged - not a whiff of it! The only thing to note is slight damage to the bottom middle flipback, but I'm being picky here. Edge wear is super light and the spine is 100% intact. The cover retains absolute perfect rigidity - I can honestly say it's the most solid copy to date.
Inner (Ex) A bit of creasing, but no ageing or marks. Tiny tear at die-cut edge.
