Okay, I'm not a record buff, but I'll try and give you my best description.
This is The Beatles Please Please Me LP mono version.
From what I can gather, I think it is quite an early pressing of this record since on the front of the album cover the name 'Angus McBean' is almost at the far right corner.
The album cover is in horrible shape; there's no back whatsoever, which is a shame, I know. However, on the front, surviving bit of the cover, the picture is very clear. It's bent around the edges in the circular shape of a record and there's a sellotape stain near MONO in the top right corner.
The record itself: it doesn't look too scratchy, however, I don't have a record player, so I can't give a full report. The labels, however, are really clear and crisp. There's a little bit of white showing just around the actual central hole itself. On side one, under the word trade in 'trade mark' is written the original owner's name in biro, but you can only really see this when looking at the record from an angle. Both sides of the record have the numbers XEX 421-1N. On side one I can also see the numbers 2 GM and on side two 1 GA.
Hopefully you'll be able to read all the song lists and writers from the pictures. Dick James Mus. Co. appears quite regularly.
It also has it's presumably original EMITEX sleeve which is torn open down one side.
So, the album cover is rubbish, but the record itself is not half bad. I thought if someone had a good cover but needed the actual record that the two could be married up. I'm gonna start this at 99p and just see where we go.
