Description
The Beatles - Please Please Me - UK mono 4th pressing 1963
XEX 421-1N / XEX 422-1N
This is a solid early UK fourth mono pressing of The Beatles’ Please Please Me, issued in 1963. Ernest J Day sleeve, KT tax code, 1N/1N matrices and all the relevant label items for a fourth pressing.
Forth press, label variation. Ernest J. Day sleeve, also used on the Gold and Black pressings.
Vinyl: VG+, visual and audio grade. No scratches that look audible or feelable, rarely seen especially on these old thicker Beatles' records. At most you can hear some faint crackle with headphones on, but nothing that detracts from the listening pleasure. Handful of hairlines and surface scratches, but doesn't effect play and not a lot of sleeve wear. The vinyl still has a good shine to it and the labels are in great shape.
Cover: VG+ Nice glossy cover. White legible spine practically fully in tact, solid and rigid. Condition of flip back phenomenal for these sleeves usually in poor condition, good replacement for Gold and Black cover if needed. Very minor to no creasing anywhere, no corner dinks. Art pops and there is little to no ring wear. Includes original emitex inner sleeve, in excellent condition.
There is a little bit of sellotape used at each corner perhaps to reinforce the strength of the cover, in my opinion that wasn't necessary the sleeve has no. rips or tears and is fairly sturdy. If it wasn't for the sellotape I would probably have graded the cover as Excellent+ to NM.
Will be mailed with plastic outer and inner sleeves being professionally packaged using all the essential cardboard stiffe
