The Beatles - Please Please Me Original UK Mono 4th issue with Gold Issue Cover.
A great opportunity to buy an original 1st issue Please Please Me “Gold” cover at a reasonable price. Ideal if you own a 1st Issue gold mono looking for a sleeve or an upgrade.
The 4th Issue Mono disc can be seen as a bonus in this lot.
I shall describe the record condition here but please refer to the images in this auction before making a bid.
Gold 1st issue Cover: VG-
The sleeve is in a very acceptable condition; however, I’d like to point out it has some tape or tape residue in three corners on the front cover. The bottom flap on the back has a long strip of tape residue the full width of the sleeve. It also has had some “invisible” tape applied to seal the flap onto the back cover. The front cover also has some gentle creasing. That aside the sleeve is bright and clean both front and back. with a very strong spine, top and bottom edges.
Vinyl: Good
There are many marks, some quite long and a few scuffs on both sides. However, this disc plays extremely well. Of course, there is some hiss and quite a few pops but it plays right through with no skips, on my system at least. A very warm, enjoyable listen, as most discs for this time are.
