Description
This auction is for a rare 1963 Stereo Please Please Me record on the yellow and black ‘large stereo’ parlophone label. This is a rare record and copies from the same year on the Gold Stereo Label would cost upwards of £1,500 in this condition. Stampers: 1H- 1-O.
Cover: This is the rare 1st pressing ‘Gold Label Stereo’ cover with the Angus McBean credit to the very bottom right corner. This cover is in poor condition overall as it is torn, has multiple creases and has discolouration to the back (see pics). It is still legible and free of writing.
Vinyl: condition is Very Good minus overall. Side one has one or two very small feelable scratches and some needle marks (VG) and Side two has several light but feelable scratches and needle marks and rates as (VG minus). This record still retains a good sheen, has no warping and plays through without skipping or repeating.
Labels: overall VG minus. The moderate whitening and spindle marks show this record has not been overplayed. There is no writing of any kind on the labels and the text is still bold and clean free of grubbiness.
I use ‘Record Collector’ grading on all my records. This record comes with a soft inner sleeve to preserve the record.
Postage: Items under £20: will be sent Royal Mail Second Class Signed For. £5.20 Over £20: sent Royal Mail insured to the final amount of sale.
Please bear in mind that postage costs include: Royal Mail SecondClass 'Signed For' postage at £4.10 and cardboard mailers and stiffners £1.10.
All items will be well packed in custom made record mailers with at least 2 card stiffeners. All vinyl will be removed for outer picture and any printedinner sleeve and placed in a brand new softer inner sleeve to protect the record and prevent seamsplitting while in transit.
Postage can be combined but please let me know if you want this before paying for the item. No international delivery please.
