Description
One of the original Beatles Please Please Me UK releases - belonged to my mother! I think this is the 4th pressing, or later as blocky black and yellow Parlophone label. Nice thick vinyl, I think 180gm. I'm not an expert on dating the (many) pressings of Beatles vinyl from the 1960s so please see below, I've given full desc of matrix and labels etc:
Vinyl side I:
Label: Blocky black and yellow Parlophone. XEX. 421. PMC 1202. Crisp silver font with song listing.
Matrix, stampers:
XEX 421 - 1N (6 o'clock)
GM0 (3 o'clock)
Vinyl side II:
Label: Black and yellow 'blocky' Parlophone with pound sign. Slightly blurry print on the song listing (silver font) as though it has been printed once and then accidentally printed over again. 331/3 RPM in large font. XEX. 422. PMC 1202.
Matrix, stampers:
XEX 422 1-N (at 6 o'clock)
4 (at 9 o'clock)
GMI (2 o'clock)
1
8 (at 9 o'clock)
Vinyl: G/G + condition, does plays well, slight surface marks, surface light scratches from use, and whispers, but no deep marks, pocks, jumps or scratches as far as I can tell on playthrough and looking at under strong light. But I wouldn't quite class it as VG condition because the surface does have a lot of whisper marks and very light scratches from wear - somewhere between G and VG, but doesn't warrant a 'fair' grading IMO as no biggies and playthrough is fine, sounds nice and warm. However I do happily offer full refunds on vinyl, so please buy in confidence, if you are dissatisfied for any reason, I will refund you :-)
Cover: reasonable condition, comes in protective plastic case. Looks a bit yellowed and aged. Sellotaped on the bottom yonks ago although that has aged to quite a nice retro look. Scuff on the song listing on back. Mild marks and signs of wear (please zoom in). Corners a bit soft. Spine mostly nice and crisp apart from a bit of softness towards upper corner. Print warm and vibrant. Reddish Parlophone label with mono at the top.
Please see my other vinyl, I combine shipping :-)
Will be shipped in dedicated packaging.
