The Beatles ‘REVOLVER’ album - considered one of most Iconic and collectible Albums of the 20th Century - was released by Parlophone UK on August 5th 1966.
Album Description/Condition:
This ORIGINAL 1966 UK Parlophone mono Vinyl LP is on the traditional Black and Yellow Parlophone Label, with ‘The Gramophone Co Ltd’ label rim, with ‘Sold in UK…..’ and ‘Made in Gt. Britain’ label text.
Both record labels are in impressive Near Mint condition. Both record labels are undamaged with no discolouration or fading to any of the printed text, each label shows just a few light signs of play to the centre spindle holes.
This version of Revolver has the full **DOCTOR ROBERT** song title on the side 2 record label, there is also another version with the abbreviated **DR ROBERT** song title.
Side 1 matrix: XEX 605-2 and Side 2 XEX 606-3.
Side 1 stampers: 8 RRP and Side 2: 4 RRH.
The embossed ‘KT’ tax/price code is visible on the centre of the side 1 record label.
Both sides of the heavyweight vinyl surfaces are in beautiful Near Mint condition, super clean vinyl to both sides, showing just a couple of light surface hairlines.
Audio Quality:
All tracks play with a superb powerful mono sound quality, NO clicks, NO skips, just a hint of mild background crackle on the quieter tracks, otherwise a clear mono sound quality.
The LP comes in its ORIGINAL ‘Use Emitex’ lined Printed Inner Bag, which is in Excellent Plus condition.
And is housed in it’s original, Front laminated Garrod & Lofthouse sleeve, printed ‘mono’ to the top right hand corner of the front of the sleeve, and with three flipbacks to the reverse.
The sleeve is in superb Excellent Plus condition, the Laminated front panel still retains its glossy shine, with very minimal signs of record Impression . The reverse panel of the sleeve is in undamaged condition, showing a clean black, back panel, with just a couple of light handling marks to the black area, all three of the large flipbacks are undamaged. The spine edge wording is clearly printed ‘Revolver-The Beatles’.
A superb example of this Iconic Beatles 1966 UK original LP, and still remains a firm favourite.
