Description

I WANT TO HOLD YOUR HAND b/w THIS BOY - THE BEATLES (Parlophone A 8103)

Vinyl: Ex

Labels: Ex

This auction is for the very rare Australian only 1980 Stereo pressing of The Beatles' 1st Australian #1 single.

From late 1979 - late 1981 EMI Australia (distributors of Parlophone) changed the 45 label from black & silver to orange & black.

There were 4 x Paul McCartney 45s and a limited selection of The Beatles' Aussie 45s pressed with the orange Parlophone label.

These particular Australian variant pressings are highly prized among collectors.

The record plays excellently on a Pro-Ject Debut III turntable.

Good luck, fellow collectors!

NB: This collectable and rare vinyl 45 is being posted free from Australia via Airmail to any country in the world; but with No Insurance.  [If you would like insurance to the full value of your bid; please contact me at auction end and I will provide the Actual Cost for Insurance (if available) to Great Britain or any other country.]

UK Record Collector Grading System

EXCELLENT (EX): The record shows some signs of being played, but there is very little lessening to the sound quality.  The cover and packaging may have slight wear or creasing.

VERY GOOD (VG): The record has obviously been played many times, but displays no major deterioration in sound quality, despite noticeable surface marks and the occasional light scratch.  Normal wear and tear on the cover or extra items, without any major defects, is acceptable.
