Description
The rare 1963 pressings of the 45 are clearly distinguishable from the 1964 reissue of the single. The 1963 records were pressed with white labels containing red print.
A script "Swan" appears at the top of the label and the song title, songwriter credits, group's name and record number are at the bottom. Publishing information is to the left of the center hole and song's running time to the right. This is a very controversial record because no one knows who pressed it, it has matrix markings but not "mastering reco art or virtue studio" etchings appear anywhere on this rare reproduction record. I have seen several reasons for such a discretion, one is that it was pressed by the West Coast Plant and they didn't take the time to add the matrix to completion. I like them for their history of the unknown, who, what, why and where? This plays as well as any Black and Silver SWAN produced in 1964 so it would still be a great asset to your collection. My price is firm, since I love obscurities I'm in no hurry to sell it. The picture sleeve is an original sleeve taken from one of my personal 45 Beatle She Loves You collection which had a crack in it. So the sleeve in itself is worth the $50.00 price of the record. There are also some matrix run off markings such as S-4152-S I an R then a TL the T looks as if it has an arrow ^ pointing down on the bottom of the T also on the B side it is S-4152-1-I R1 with the TL etched in the matrix.
